Providing a safe, healthy, and injury-free work environment is integral to Robinson Construction’s project delivery. From new-hire orientation to monthly safety training and weekly safety talks, we continuously emphasize safety in all aspects of the construction process. Our full-time safety director oversees all safety programs and regularly visits each job site to monitor safety compliance and provide practical guidance in applying safety procedures.

Our safety training encompasses Adult CPR, First-Aid, OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour, and Hazard Communications programs as well as Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) training. The majority of our field employees are MSHA-certified, which is required for all projects on mining sites, including facilities for aggregates, lead, and coal production. MSHA training also benefits our microtunneling work for utilities.

Robinson Construction consistently achieves an experience modification rate and OSHA incident rate well below the standard for our industry. In recognition of our constant commitment to safety, the Associated Builders and Contractors has awarded us Safety Training Evaluation Process Platinum Level in multiple years and named us a national safety award semi-finalist. We were also awarded the South Central District of MSHA’s Thomas M. Drury Contractor in Mining Safety Award for the first two years of its existence.
