We’re committed to continuous improvement through targeted monthly training that strengthens skills, improves hazard recognition, and reinforces safe work practices.

In September, our focus was Competent Person – Rigging & Signaling, and we’re proud to share that nearly 100 employees successfully completed Competent Rigger & Competent Signalperson training across our project sites.

This accomplishment highlights our ongoing commitment to ensuring safe, efficient operations and empowering our teams to always think safety first—on every task, every site, every day.

Last week we were busy with crane testing here at Robinson! Several of our team members stepped up to complete their practical crane exams as part of the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) process. To become certified, each operator must pass a written core exam as well as a specialty practical exam for each type of crane.

We’re proud of their hard work and dedication to safety and excellence. Congratulations to all who participated!

Last Friday, our supervisors took part in a CPR training session that went beyond the basics! They learned not only life-saving CPR but also essential first aid skills and other critical techniques to help keep everyone safe on the job and beyond.

At Robinson Construction, safety isn’t just a priority—it’s at the forefront of everything we do. Thanks to this training, our team is better prepared to respond to emergencies and protect the well-being of everyone around them.

One good thing that came with the cold temperatures and snow is that it allowed some of Robinson’s supervisors extra time for training. QA/QC Manager Ross Moldenhauer and QA/QC Assistant Manager Brandon McIntosh were on hand last week to provide surveying training using a Robotic Total Station (RTS). The training covered the basics of the RTS and the functions and tools that can be utilized while using the surveying equipment. The supervisors were then presented with a mock project to lay out/survey using the RTS.
